Dr Elinor McCartney founded Pen & Tec Consulting in 2000. Pen & Tec specialise in EU food chain legislation, helping companies to register their products in the EU market. We can also provide expert and strategic advice about the best way to market products in the EU. For more than 10 years this company has successfully registered more that 25 different products for use in the food chain in the EU.
Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, Dr. McCartney has around 20 years of experience in product development and regulatory affairs in Europe. She is a veterinary surgeon with a PhD in Veterinary Pathology from Edinburgh University and an MBA (with distinction) from the Open University.
Miroslava Piskoríková was born in Košice, Slovakia and is a graduate of the University of Veterinary Medicine in Košice. She is a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and worked as an Official Veterinarian in United Kingdom from 2004 to 2008. In January 2009 she joined Pen & Tec Consulting as Registration Manager. On 1st July 2011 she was promoted to the position of Regulatory Affairs Director.
Laura was born in Salamanca, Spain and holds a degree in Biotechnology from the University of Salamanca. She participated in an exchange program in Ghent University and did internship in Intervet in 2010. She joined EU Pen & Tec in July 2011.
Montserrat Cerrato was born in Stolberg, Germany and came to live in Spain in 1990. She is a veterinary surgeon with a PhD in Animal Science from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and has developed her career in the animal feed industry, spending time in the UK in the pig genetic sector.
Liza Van den Eede was born in Belgium but grew up in Italy. She graduated from the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium as a Bioscience Engineer with a specialization in Food Science and Technology. She did a one-year traineeship at the EURL for Food Contact Material. In August 2011 she joined EU Pen & Tec Consulting.
Born in Arica, Chile and holder of a diploma in business studies from EAE (Barcelona), Hector has represented several multinational industrial companies in the Iberian Peninsula as a sales manager or commercial director. He is a Pen & Tec partner and shareholder since 2003.
Maureen was born in London (UK) and has lived in Spain for over 30 years. She has extensive experience working as an executive secretary and at managerial level and has worked for several years in Barcelona for two companies in the pig genetic sector. She joined EU Pen & Tec Consulting in 2010 as Office Manager.
