The annual Management Forum conference, chaired by Dr. Elinor McCartney, was once again a great success, bringing together experts in Feed Regulation from all over Europe and even USA & Brazil. Hot news this year was the attendance of EFSA and the European Commission. Dr. Gloria López-Gálvez from EFSA shared her recipes for success when handling the application of a feed additive dossier, and Dr. Wolfgang Trunk from DG SANCO presented an overview about the latest progress in feed legislation. An update about the re-evaluation process of existing feed additives, for which the application deadline was November 2010, was also discussed in various presentations. The first day ended with an interesting strategic topic: When is a feed additive dossier unavoidable? With over 20 years’ experience in European Feed Regulatory affairs, Dr. McCartney opened the second day with her presentation “Building successful feed additive dossiers and common mistakes encountered” providing useful tips and hints. A combination of presentations and workshops, spanning two days, made the annual event, once again, interactive and very successful.
